All KYC members, whether boat owners or not, are welcome to participate in cruising events. One purpose of cruising events is to encourage boat owners and no-boaters to connect and go sailing. The Sunday and Monday evening sails offer opportunities to achieve this goal.

All weekend rendezvous destinations are accessible by road as well as by water. In past seasons, participants have been innovative in using a variety of combinations of land and water travel to attend events.
